新型のチェスカボディを使ったグラフィックTシャツです。
グラフィックはマドリッド在住のランナーでアーチストのアルマンドさんに描いてもらいました。彼の作品には大地や自然を感じさせる色合いの抽象画が多く、その色合いはTANNUKIの色合いにどこか通じるところがあります

アルマンドさんは、様々な国で個展を開いたり、旅行をしたりしていますが、街を知るのにランニングがとても良いツールになると話してくれました。また作品を作ることと走ることは、自分を自分でコントロールしない”フロー”の状態に置いてから対峙していく部分に共通点があるとのことでした。

そんなアルマンドさんが描いてくれたタヌキモチーフです。愛嬌もあって、静かさもあって、美しさもある、ある意味でラン用のＴシャツには見えない、とても良いウェアが出来上がりました。

生地は軽さもありストレッチ性もある吸水速乾素材ですが、敢えてやや厚みのある素材をチョイスしました。その風合いからスポーツウェアらしい匂いが極力抑えられていますが、しっかりとアクティビティに使用できる機能性を発揮します。
タッチは上品なコットンTシャツに近しいポリエステル素材です。

ーデザイン
アルマンドさんのグラフィックを前面に配置しました。オリジナルのタヌキモチーフにTANNUKIの文字、そして作家のサインを一体化してグラフィックとしています。写真にもありますがグラフィックを描いてもらうにあたってはいくつかの習作を描いてくれています。その習作の段階からとても素敵な作品になっているのがわかります。ランナーでありアーチストである彼の作品をぜひ楽しんでいただければと思います。

左裾にはTANNUKIの一つの特徴でもあるポケットが付き、中には３匹のタヌキが潜んでいます。

タックインしてもタックアウトしても良い感じのバランスとなっています。

ー素材
東レのプライムフレックス糸で編まれた、軽量性とストレッチ性を両立する高機能素材です。またポリエステルが本来持つ耐摩擦性を発揮するとともに、紡績をしていないフィラメント糸(長繊維)を使用しているため毛玉になりにくい性質を持ちます。物質としての安定性も高く、洗濯後でも縮みにくいです。

多機能を併せ持つ高機能素材でありながら、表にその機能感を出さないさりげなさがもう一つの特徴です。上質なコットンを思わせる滑らかなタッチと風合いは、例えばテーラードジャケットなんかにもマッチるような佇まいです。ぜひ日中は仕事場で過ごして夜のランニングにそのまま使ってもらえたらと思います。

The new graphic T-shirt using the Cheska body design.
The graphic was created by Armando, a runner and artist based in Madrid. His work often features abstract paintings with colors that evoke the earth and nature, and those colors have a certain connection to the colors of TANNUKI we think.

Armando has held solo exhibitions and traveled to various countries, and he told us that running is a great tool for getting to know a city. He also said that creating art and running have something in common: the process of confronting oneself in a state of "flow," where one is not consciously controlling oneself.

This is the tanuki (raccoon dog) motif that Armando created. It's charming, quiet, and beautiful—in a way, it doesn't look like a typical running T-shirt.

The fabric is a lightweight, stretchy, and quick-drying material, but we deliberately chose a slightly thicker material. The texture minimizes the typical feel of sportswear, while still providing the functionality needed for activities.
The feel is similar to a high-quality cotton T-shirt, but it's made of functional polyester.

—Design
Armando's graphic is placed on the front. The original tanuki motif, the TANNUKI logo, and the artist's signature are integrated into the graphic. As you can see in the photos, he created several preliminary sketches before creating the final graphic. Even at the sketch stage, you can see that they are very wonderful works. We hope you enjoy the work of this runner and artist.

There is a pocket on the left hem, one of the features of TANNUKI, and three tanuki are hidden inside.

The balance is good whether you tuck it in or leave it untucked.

—Material
A high-performance material woven with Toray's Primeflex yarn, combining lightness and stretchability. Furthermore, while exhibiting the inherent abrasion resistance of polyester, it also possesses a low pilling tendency due to the use of unspun filament yarn (long fibers). It also has high material stability and is less prone to shrinking after washing.

Another characteristic is its understated elegance, despite being a highly functional material with multiple functions. The smooth touch and texture, reminiscent of high-quality cotton, give it a sophisticated look that would even suit a tailored jacket. We hope you'll use it for work during the day and then wear it straight to your evening run.
