文化服装学院のBunkaRunningClubとランニングウェアブランド「TANNUKI」とのコラボレーション製品第三弾です。

共にランニングをする、走ってからディスカッションをする、というプロセスでゆっくりと企画を進め、ランニングに対応する機能性とファッション要素が融合された製品を作り上げました。

企画の第一段階としては、文化服装学院内でランニングを通じ、学内・学外の方々と交流を目的に設立された『BunkaRunningClub』のメンバーとなった学生の皆さんに、ランニングというスポーツ/カルチャーを実際にグループランニングという形で体験してもらいその奥深さを理解してもらいました。学生時代に強制的に走らされた、などの苦しいランニングではない、美しく楽しいランニングを知ってもらえるよう努めました。
第二段階として、学生の皆さんが持ち合わせている感性の部分や、学んでいるファッション要素を加えたランニングウェアの開発をTANNUKIの企画チームと共に行いました。

製品コンセプトは「Vintage Tech」です。Gジャンのヴィンテージアイテムをインスピレーションの元とし、テクニカル要素を加えることでランニングウェアとして作り上げています。試作品を実際のトレイルランニングレースでもテストし、例えばランニングザックと干渉しにくい位置にポケットを配置し直すなどの調整を行いました。
ファッションと機能が融合した、これまでにないデザインのランニングジャケットが出来上がりました。
一般的なデニムジャケットの重量は４００ｇ以上で中には１ｋｇ近い重さのものもあるようです。それに対して今回のジャケットはＭサイズで２３７ｇとこのタイプのデザインのジャケットのなかでは飛びぬけた軽さとなっています。軽量性から来る着心地の良さもぜひ体感いただければと思っています。

程よいフィット感と短めの丈を組み合わせています。フロントのステッチとひだ状の仕様がデザインのポイントとなっています。上からもサイドからも手を入れることができる大きめのポケットが左右に配置されています。フロントはスナップ仕様で開け閉めすることでベンチレーションとして機能します。襟先にもスナップが付いており、襟をたてた状態でのおさまりを良くしています。バックサイドにはタックを付け、可動域を広げ、また形状によってはランニングザックの上からでも羽織ることが出来るようになっています。
素材は、らせん状の構造を持つ分子をベースとするポリエステルで作られており、ストレッチ性と軽量性の両立が実現された素材となっています。見た目の重厚感とは逆に軽い実重量となっています。この他にポリエステルが本来持つ特徴である、取り扱いのしやすさや速乾性も併せ持ちます。更には、水を弾く撥水性とUVプロテクション機能も付加されています。
また多機能素材にもかかわらず、ナチュラルな雰囲気の風合いも特徴の一つです。

This is the third collaborative product between Bunka Fashion College's Bunka Running Club and the running wear brand "TANNUKI".

The project was developed slowly through a process of running together and discussing ideas afterwards, resulting in a product that fuses functionality suitable for running with fashionable elements.

The product concept is "Vintage Tech." Inspired by vintage denim jackets, technical elements were added to create running wear. Prototypes were tested in actual trail running races, and adjustments were made, such as repositioning pockets to avoid interference with running backpacks.
The result is a running jacket with an unprecedented design that fuses fashion and functionality.
A typical denim jacket weighs over 400g, and some weigh nearly 1kg. In contrast, this jacket weighs only 237g in size M, making it exceptionally lightweight for this type of design. We hope you will experience the comfort that comes from its lightweight spec.

It features a comfortable fit and a shorter length. The front stitching and pleated design are key design points. Large pockets are placed on both sides, allowing access from both the top and the side. The front features snap closures that function as ventilation. There are also snaps on the collar tips to keep the collar in place when it's turned up. Tucks are added to the back to increase range of motion, and depending on the shape, it can even be worn over a running backpack. The material is made of polyester based on molecules with a helical structure, achieving a balance of both stretchability and lightness. Contrary to its substantial appearance, it is surprisingly lightweight. In addition, it possesses the inherent characteristics of polyester, such as ease of handling and quick-drying properties. Furthermore, it is also treated with water-repellent and UV protection functions.
Despite being a multi-functional material, it also features a natural, textured feel.
